Dodge Ram Front Strobes

Strobes were added to the headlights. A Sho-Me 4 head waterproof pack was used and mounted to back of the front bumper. Each headlight was removed and after a bunch of measuring, a small hole was drilled to see if I was close to where I wanted the strobe to go.

Once I figured out the center point, I drilled out the outer layer with a 1 1/2″ hole saw. Then I drilled out the 1″ hole for the inner layer for the strobe to sit in.

Dodge headlights are sealed so there are two seperate layers you need to drill through. The first
black layer and the inner reflective layer.

A word of advise: Go very slow when drilling the inner layer. If you take your time, you will minimize the amount of debris that falls into the headlight. If you drill a little bit, then use a vaccum to collect the debris, you can keep almost all of it from falling in.

Once the hole is drilled, pop in the strobe light (I suggest useing the strobe with a screw hole to secure the light. You do not need to drill two holes. Rotate the strobe until one hole is to the very rear. That way the screw will not be seen by public and it looks like a regular pop in style.) Do the same for the other headlight, attach the strobe cable, add a switch and your in business!
